The correct Waterloo Flea Market

In a previous post i referred that i had gone to the Waterloo Flea Market.. but guess what!! i went to the wrong one :P it happens. In the description it said it was located in the Carrefour in Waterloo.. but there is two Carrefours in Waterloo!!!

This time i went to the correct Waterloo flea market, here are the pictures to prove it :)

This one caught my eye, a vintage scale!

I always get amazed on how beautiful the sewing machines were before, now they are just a big piece of plastic. They lost the charm.. that this Singer machine has

They have quite a number of antique furniture,

this one ... restored would be gorgeous!

How cute is this antique baby stroller,

a really old looking Teddy,

some vintage door knobs,

I've found interesting that some one would sell his old gas boxes...

Vintage Phonographs,

There are some true treasures to be found in the Waterloo Flea Market!

Amsterdam, a simply unique city

Its not the first time I've been in Amsterdam, but every time we go we always end up seeing something new and surprising!

Cannot help taking pictures of Dutch bikes,

Nothing like taking a stroll on the the Farmers Market on the Noordermarkts street,

the white furniture recovered, simple but beautiful!

flipping the porcelain cups I've found out that they are made in Belgium!!

The flavors, smells and visual delights of the bio farmers market,

The unexpected in the canals,

probably a bachelor party,

in Amsterdam you can always find floating cakes slices :P

new means of traveling,

Strongly recommend renting a bike in Amsterdam, specially one that doesn't shout out load... tourist :P you can rent a low profile bike at...

When cycling around the canals from time to time we had to stop to see some of the coolest stores in the Jordaan neighborhood,

vintage houseware shop,

We had to stop at the Albert Cuyp Market!

the traditional sandwich with herring, not the most appealing to the eye but tasty!

cute cat taking care of the fabric stand :P

traffic jammmmmm!

some interesting finds..

this one made me smile!!!

Inspiring Flea Markets in Paris

Last weekend i had the opportunity to go to Paris and visit two of the most charming Parisian Flea Markets, Portes de Vanves and Porte de Clignancourt (Puces de Saint-Ouen).

Following the indications of my last book acquisition
Both the markets are in the periphery of Paris, but with the metro we can reach them quite easily.

My first visit was to Portes de Vanves, i found it really charming and full of great finds at a reasonable price. Here are some delightful pics,

i specially loved this stand full or charming details,

really cute postcard :)

The second market i've visit was the Porte de Clignancourt (Puces de Saint-Ouen). This one is a bit different from the Portes de Vanves as its has permanent stalls. And it is composed by individual markets located in the same area. My favorite one was Marche Vernaison.

this piano was incredible, cannot even imagine how much would they charge for it :P

hello vintage Vogue!!

this was a stall that only sold old figures probably from old carousels but in perfect condition.

this group of markets that represents Puces de Saint-Ouen are simply a feast to the eye. You do see real antiques, but the prices go well together with their age :P
